This completed garden-building project uses dark aluminium French doors with matching side panels and glazing bars. The balanced divisions suit the building’s heritage character while the paired centre doors provide the everyday entrance and the wider opening when both leaves are released.
The doors, side panels and adjoining frames were planned as one elevation rather than separate products. That matters because frame lines, glass divisions, colour and threshold details look more convincing when they are established together before manufacture.
Choose by movement
These products may fill a similar opening, but they use the surrounding space differently. Choosing by daily use is more reliable than choosing from a closed-door photograph alone.
A familiar two-leaf arrangement with a main traffic door and the option to release both leaves. A strong choice for medium-width garden openings and traditional or contemporary homes.
Panels slide rather than swing, preserving space beside the opening. They provide broad glazed areas, although part of the aperture remains occupied by a fixed or overlapping panel.
Several panels fold and stack to open a larger proportion of a wide aperture. Panel count, stack position, traffic door and threshold all require careful planning.
Supply only or professionally fitted
For an installed order, we survey the opening and confirm the manufacturing specification before the doors are made. The quotation should state the agreed scope for removal, installation, alignment and making-good. Once fitted, both leaves, handles and locking points are checked for correct operation.

French-door prices and performance cannot be compared accurately without a written specification. We record the selected material and system, internal and external colour, glass, handle arrangement, locking specification, hinges, restrictors where required, cill and threshold.
External levels and drainage are particularly important around a lower threshold. Exposure, access requirements and the relationship between the internal floor and patio should be discussed before the surrounding work is completed.
