Questions about patio doors
Why choose a sliding patio door?
Sliding panels do not swing into the room or garden, making them useful where floor space is limited. They also provide broad glazed areas and can be opened without moving nearby furniture.
How is a patio door different from a bifold?
A patio door keeps one or more panels in place while another slides, so part of the opening remains glazed. A bifold folds several hinged panels to the side and can expose more of the aperture.
How should the track be maintained?
Keep the lower track clear of grit and debris and avoid using heavy grease that can collect dirt. If operation becomes difficult, have rollers and alignment checked before forcing the door.
