A good quotation begins with the property and the way the opening will be used. We look at locking points, hinges, handles, glass, reinforcement and safe means of escape. The best answer is not always the same for every room, so it is worth considering privacy, daylight, furniture positions and how often an opening will be used before settling on a specification.

What makes a window secure?
Security comes from the complete assembly: frame, reinforcement where required, hinges, keeps, locking points, glass retention and installation. A single named component does not describe the whole result.
Can I request PAS 24 windows?
PAS 24 applies to tested product configurations rather than every window carrying a brand name. Tell us when a project requires PAS 24, Part Q or another standard so the correct configuration can be checked before quotation.
When is laminated or safety glass used?
Glass type depends on location, risk and the intended security or safety performance. Critical locations can require safety glass, while laminated glass may be selected where additional retention or security is wanted.
