How does a tilt-and-turn window work?
One handle controls two movements: the sash tilts inward at the top for ventilation or turns inward from the side for a wider opening and access to the outside face of the glass.
Do curtains affect a tilt-and-turn window?
They can. Because the sash opens into the room, blinds, curtains, furniture and deep window boards must be considered when choosing the position and size of the opening sash.
Are tilt-and-turn windows useful above ground level?
Inward opening can make cleaning more convenient from inside, particularly for upper floors and apartments. Safety, restrictors and the required opening arrangement still need to be specified for the location.
